Project Accountant/Controller
Cambridge, MA and Orlando, FLWhat you will do:
You will work closely with subject matter experts, military stakeholders, and engineers to deliver high-fidelity simulation environments that model surface, subsurface, and air maritime operations.
In this role you will:
- Support the Project Manager by accurately tracking and reporting all project financial transactions.
- Serve as primary point of contact on financial matters with U.S. Government agencies (e.g., DSCA, DCSA and DFAS, State Department) and foreign military customers.
- Ensure compliance with FMF policies, ITAR regulations, and applicable acquisition procedures.
- Develop, track, and report on project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
- Coordinate internally across engineering, contracts, finance, logistics, and legal teams.
- Prepare and submit program documentation such as Financial Status Reports and Letters of Credit.
- Conduct financial risk assessment, cash flow analysis and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project execution.
- Monitor performance metrics and ensure adherence to contractual obligations and funding limits.
- Support audits, reviews, and data calls from U.S. Government and foreign customer stakeholders.
- Support proposal development for new opportunities and task orders.
What you need to be successful:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience managing financial operations in contracts involving Foreign Military Financing.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., MS Project, Earned Value Management).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a [Secret] security clearance.
Additional preferred skills:
- Experience working with foreign partners, embassies, or defense attachés.
- Familiarity with DSAMS, SCIP, or other security cooperation systems.
