Senior Software Engineer (C++)

MAK Technologies is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (C++) who is passionate about quality work and user experience. The ideal candidate should have a good working knowledge of basic programming languages, the ability to learn new technologies quickly, work fluently in existing codebases, and work in a team environment to develop high-quality work on schedule. MAK’s developers work closely with their teams and product management to create simulation solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent related experience
- Extensive experience in software development with a strong object-oriented (C++) background
- Develop high-quality software design and architecture
- Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks
- Familiarity with developing in both Windows and Linux
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Must be a “U.S. Person” as defined in 22 CFR § 120.15
Background in one or more of the following is a plus:
- Design and support of commercial C++ software development kits
- Working knowledge of IEEE 1516 (HLA) or IEEE 1287 (DIS) a strong plus
- Game engine development (Unreal/Unity)
- Defense contractor, DOD, or military experience
